Introduction
Feeling stressed out due to
work overload? Unable to socialize with friends because of homework and
deadlines? You’re not alone! Its not easy trying to have a social life when you
know mountains of homework is waiting for you at home. This year alone, 25 % of
teens refused to deal with stress and 23% sought ways to distract themselves
from it. But as all teens know too well, ignoring it doesn’t make it go away,
it just makes it worse. Fortunately, I have a few pieces of advice to help reduce
this stress from your life and to help you deal with your problems in a
healthier way.
Good
Stress And Bad Stress
Everyone deals with stress
at times; adults, teenagers and even kids. But small amounts of stress is good
for you, it makes you feel alert and prepared for a particular situation.
Although bad stress is pretty much just good stress multiplied! It includes
something called “The Fight Or Flight Response” where your body thinks its in
danger and attempts to protect you from any harm…Even if you aren’t in any sort
of danger. With some of us, this will happen in hectic situations and others
they will be much milder with no pressures, which a lot of us find confusing. Unlike
“Good Stress”, this provides your body with un-necessary adrenaline causing you
to feel depleted, overwhelmed and can also weaken your immune system.
